I really wish someone would post a sales comparison of “American Carol” and “Religulous." That would tell us all we need to know.

4. American Carol...
made only $250K more, but was playing in more than three times as many theaters - so apples to apples, Religulous won out.

5. with about a third of the screens
Bill's documentary made almost as much as an amurikkkan carol, wich translates to more then 3 times as many butts in the seats.

6. I found on Rotten Tomatoes that (cheers from the right)
American Carol made 3.8 million in its opening, compared to Religulous making 3.5 million.

Of course, Carol opened in 1638 theaters, compared to 502 for Religulous - so Religulous made 3X as much, per venue, as Carol did.

I'm going to see it tomorrow.
