DU's site perfomrance has been crap lately...
I have troubles viewing DU on a daily basis now. It's interupting posting and is extremely annoying.

For those in the know, will this be fixed soon?

2. I saw that but I'm not going to edit for a simple typo. I don't use
spell-checker anyway. DUers are smart enough to distinguish typos and otherwise unintentional grammar or spelling mistakes.

Start your own board. Raise the capital. Invest tons of money into it. Invest time. Energy. And a good chunk of your life.

That way you don't have to ever worry about something being wrong.

Is anyone else experiencing troubles similar to those that Texas Explorer describes?

9. I've had page load lags. I get "404 Errors" after posting. I get
DU error notices. Pages taking more than a minute to load on 10mb connection. Every. Day.

I'm just sayin'. Not trying to start trouble.

11. I get a blank internet page when I click some replies and threads
But a refresh always brings it back. Hasn't been too bad otherwise. Probably go bye bye during the debate tonight. Skinner? Ready to test that new server?

16. You're not the only one getting blank pages. I thought it was my xp system
so I booted into Mandriva and it works now... :shrug:

18. Recently began with number of sites for me, am suspecting virus or malware
as the possible culprit. Using Firefox 3.0.1 on XP, with zonealarm pro, Kaspersky, and rootkit revealer

10. They're working it today.

There is going to be a short (5-10 minutes) downtime soon

while our ISP moves some of our equipment to better distribute power to our servers. This will probably be happening sometime within the next 30 minutes and should not last very long.

Yeah, it's been kinda clunky for a while now. Hope they sort it out soon.

12. It's just been given a super speed pill for me.
It goes when I tell it to. I think they just did some work on the servers a few minutes ago.

15. You also gotta admit, there's been a SHITLOAD of traffic
on DU over the past 8-9 months. 1)the primaries 2)freepers and now, the election.

Yeah, the downtime is a hassle, but personally, I'm very happy that there are so many Democrats who are super passionate about this election. My opinion, fwiw.
