Gregg just said - 'if you support the troops you MUST support this ammendment' Ammendment states NO cut in funding. Reid said no caucus - dems must vote conscience

5. I may have interpreted this wrong
but my understanding is that it prevents congress from acting on troops already in a war. This would, I think, effectively give up the Congress's right to redeploy. I could be wrong.

20. It doesn't mean shit as it can be overridden by any
subsequent legislation, or more importantly by simply defeating the next appropriations bill for the ongoing war crime. It is a symbolic gesture, but the support it got indicates just have weak the anti war movement is.
