Take The Poll, Slam The Anti-Gay Bigots in OC, CA (Prop 8)

Orange County Register has a poll up on Prop 8, the measure that seeks to make gay marriage illegal in CA. The bigots are winning.

OC is the HEART of CA's Republican community. The OC Register is the local RW rag of a newspaper.

I saw a church by the freeway the other day that had a huge "YES ON 8" banner hanging from the roof. I gave it the finger.

stereotypical orange county woman ( make of that what you will!!!) come to our door a few weeks ago---i looked like shit--still in my robe---she was pushing yes on 8 ---i 'conversated' with her, told her how i felt and wondered if she would like to talk to my 'partner'!!1!!1

she told me no---that was okay! now, i do not look like the typical orange cty repub. woman ( thank you jeebus)---and my partner was my spouse- male--of 45 years---but i do believe i screwed with the brain of the door knocker and she couldn't get away from my house fast enough.

my only fun that week! ;>)

i did see lots of yes signs near the 22 freeway today - that weren't there yesterday and read the same story in the Register that the op did.

Of course I was having a shit day at work so my brain was fried and couldn't think of a response quick enough but if I did I would say something along the lines of "Gay marriage is the least of our problems. The worst thing about it is that it's slowly turning our country into a fascist theocracy to support the ideals of a small percentage of certifiably insane people."
