Forgive an ignorant European - How old is McCain again?

I just saw a thread hinting that he was 76.

Which I can't believe.

1. 72, I think. He would be 76 at the end of his first term.

8. SEVENTY TWO?????????????????????? ! ! !! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
.

Who are these insane people planning on voting for him? They do know they'd really be voting for Sarah McCain?

I thought he was early sixties or something! He'll drop dead of head-exploding death if he wins.

13. Unfortunately, a LOT of them are really voting for Palin - they don't
expect him to finish his term and they will have their religiously insane FIRST WOMAN PRESIDENT - part of it is wanting to rub it in the faces of the Democrats, and part is because they are religiously insane and they want one of their own with her finger on the button.

ARMAGEDDON HERE WE COME!

It's god's will, doncha know.

16. So they've just wheeled him to be laughed at and then drop dead?

I'm beginning to wonder if some of his bad temper may be related to a certain irritation with his own party...

17. For that, I couldn't blame him.
I'm sure Romney dropped out when he saw the financial meltdown coming - had to maintain his image as a financial whiz kid, and didn't want to get fried by it.

7. He's 72 but has not aged well
and is showing obvious signs of early dementia.

He needs to retire. He certainly doesn't need to run for the presidency.

14. The poor man should be retiring!

I just feel sorry for him now. They've just wheeled him on to be laughed at, basically.

Not that people should vote for him or anything....

11. Just For The Record
His dad was 70 when he passed and his gdad 69. With his temper, I'd like to know what his blood pressure is and is he on medication for it.
