Talk of the Nation will address contentious comments at mcc/palin

rallies. On the first hour today a caller brought up these comments and Neal Conan just glossed over the issue. Apparently NPR received a flood of emails that objected to the casual treatment of this serious issue, and at the end of the hour Neal announced the emails and said the issue would be addressed next week.

The radical right, never very stable even on a good day, is looking at a whole slew of bad days to come. Thanks to our society's obsession with easy access to firearms, and overproduction of same, you know it's just a matter of time before one of these nutjobs decides it's time for Obama to join the ranks of Gandhi, Kennedy, King, Kennedy, and Wallace for their apostasy from the High Church of Redemptive Violence.

And dimbulbs like Neal Conan won't have the foggiest fucking notion why anyone would pick up a gun to shoot someone over a political disagreement.
