I want to say THANK YOU to many fellow DUers.

I've had 2 posts this week that made it to the Greatest Page.

For some here, that is no big deal. Many DUers post so much that they may get 2 into Greatest every day! Some DUers, Like Plaid Adder, Will Pitt and Nance Greggs, have just about ANY thread they post onto the greatest page almost as soon as it hits the forum. THESE are people whose opinions are so respected and whose names are so familiar that they have earned this. My wife's and my personal favorite, Plaid Adder, is the opinion we respect more than any other in this community.

I have been a member of DU since July of 2003. My post count is under 4000, as opposed to some here who have nearly that number within weeks. I'm an occasional poster. I do think that there are some here who respect my opinions and I have very few (if any) enemies here. Nevertheless, I am NOT one of the DU stars.

I'm sure that many DUers have written, as I have, threads that they thought were really good and watched in some frustration as, for whatever reason, they dropped faster than dubbya's Jim Beam bottle when his wife walks into the room.

And so, I just want to thank those who occasionally take a moment to read the thoughts of some of the "non-stars" in this community and say that they believe those thoughts are among the best they've seen that day.

It brings a good very feeling, frequently to someone who really needs it!

We have mailboxes made to look like little barns (you pull the front door down to check for mail) and we have farmers who stick the tops of a pair of old boots into the road side of a big round hay bale so it looks like somebody got caught in the baler....I mean, you want humor buddy? We got it.....
