Evidence grows that Israel is preparing to attack Iran

Recent events, such as the sale of new bunker-busting bombs, suggest such a strike could receive U.S. support

Month after month, the nation's attention seems to ping-pong back and forth between the world's two egregious nuclear malefactors, North Korea and Iran.

For the last few weeks, all eyes have been on North Korea, as the nation's idiosyncratic leadership began reopening a plant that manufactures weapons-grade plutonium. Christopher Hill, an assistant secretary of state, met, to no effect, with North Korea's leaders in Pyongyang last week -_ a visit that would have been inconceivable while hawks still dominated the Bush administration.

But, as anyone might guess, the problems in Iran did not suddenly freeze while everyone looked east. In fact several recent developments leave the strong suggestion that Israel is preparing to attack Iran _ with significant help from the United States.

Israel is not as foolish as the Republican party.

But here we are in every conceivable disaster. A horror hay ride courtesy of Bush and the raving moon bat NeoCons. Where is Cheney? He has been traveling around quietly as Darth Vader continuing his battle with The Force.

Everyone will assume that Bush started a third war to help keep his party in power. And they would be right. So the Israelis will probably wait until just after the election to attack. This will spur even more outrage, but there isn't anything the voters could do about it.

Israel gets go ahead attack then Bush/Cheney will blackmail us into Iran war.

"Israel needs our help we can not let them fail or the World will be threatened."

We can let Israel fail!

But they will not pick that option and it will be WW III.

imminent attack by Isreal/US on Iran? For at least 2 years. It's almost the middle of October. I'd bet almost anything it ain't gonna happen. Sorry, dear, no WWIII- at least not now and not due to Israel or the U.S. attack Iran in the next 3 weeks. I know that's terribly disappointing to you professional secular end-timers.

Hezbollah's bunkers seem a better fit for the smaller bombs.

In any case I don't expect Israel to bomb Iran any time soon, except in the unlikely event of Iran attacking first.

Hell I don't even remember what they called this any more.

I have to say nothing would sruprise me any more.

I look at it this way , we did not want to attack Iraq but they figured out a way to lie us into it or was it our reps that were convinced, i forget.

We didn't want the Iraq occupation funded anymore , we voted for the dems because this was what we were told was their intent. Well it's funded.

We went out and protested the occupations and for impeachment yet the joke was on us and they did not listen to the people one bit.

Now the people did not want this bailout package from hell yet guess what they passed that too and added to it. I think we also wanted the FISA bill removed but it's even worse now.

So we can call and email and show up in the thousands and they have their directive 51 ready to go if needed.

I am not holding my breath that this is over until these freaks are miles from the whitehouse , many miles away. Until then hold onto your hats.

I don't think these madmen care if they take the entire planet with them in their insane quest for some sort of power and they will be quite happy living in their bunkers while the rest of us fry.
