'Loudmouth' woman lecturing older man
at starbucks now, so I just interrupted, after hearing her saying, 'I don't trust Obama,' and 'I like palin.' I said, 'Do you trust George bush?' I just couldn't let that go!

She said 'I'm not talking to you,' etc. and I said, 'I don't think much of your judgment.'

I smiled at the man, and he at me.

Tums now!

"I'm not talking to you."....

"Then you should have made sure I couldn't hear you."

4. good for you
did you see the video taken at a Palin rally in which someone asked people if they trusted Palin to be prez?

I may not have this exactly right, but close enough, I hope... then he asked how long they had heard of Palin. Most, of course, had never heard of her before McCain picked her.

then the guy asked them how long they'd known about Obama.

It was a kick in the gut to the racists, or whatever you want to call them. They trust Palin because she's "one of them," apparently - them being Americans who only identify with people who are white fundies.

Not too long ago, a woman was telling me that she had a special needs kid and that Palin could not take care of that kid and be v.p. I said, yeah, and that's okay - but she and Todd need to admit that she's not very involved in her kids' life then - that the republican talking points are b.s.

and I said that I'd never met a woman who supported Palin. Another woman was standing by (this was in a store) and she said.. you've never met a woman who supports Palin? Well, now you have. I support everything Palin stands for (I should have asked her what that was, but...)

Instead I said... Are you a fundie?

She said... Oh, so that's all it is?

I said.. that explains it to me. And I turned and walked off while she and the other woman had a few more words.

Then, Palin fan lady said something about... you liberals have to understand...

and I didn't hear the rest because, honestly, why should I care what that woman thinks I have to understand? That woman wants to vote with a party that consistently demonstrates its hatred for women and families - unless they're in the top 1% of the rich.

I hope women will "confront" other women about this. People need to see that Palin does not have the support of the majority of women in this nation.

While I've now heard ONE woman say she supports Palin, I have heard literally DOZENS say, at the mention of the woman's name, that she's scary. And she is.
