Wow. I just thought of something. The criminals in white house have been there ever
since DU was started.

If the O wins, he will be the first Democratic president since DU was created.

Historic.

I'd like to think DU had a LOT to do with the sea change.

Thanks DU.

5. Yeah. I remember the pic with Skinner holding the DU sign with shrubbies
motorcade driving by. Does anyone have that?

Skinner must have that one in the vault. Time to dust it off!

If we win a veto-proof Congress, a super-majority and the Executive, things are going to change in the country, big time. :)

6. Change??
Not likely. Government will grow, spending will increase, and we will still be fighting all over the world.

Won't matter who wins.

Wake up and smell the coffee.

4. How many of us will leave with a Dem in office?
I frankly admit I might not be around so much. I won't be feeling the old horrible frustration...

8. You forget the Clinton Administration...
Edited on Tue Oct-14-08 08:23 PM by TankLV
Right after - the day after - he won in November, ALL the repuke "pundits" started piling on, calling it a "failed presidency" with even the repukes, in overt and coded words, planning on his impeachment for - any and everything - they could think of.

Clinton never had a honeymoon. None. Even Democrats were fighting him in Congress - that's one reason the repukes were able to take control a couple years later...

The DAY AFTER THE ELECTION will be just the BEGINNING. And it will go downhill from there, as far as repuke "respect for the office" and "support for the President in Time Of War" and all all the other repuke bullshit...

We will have PLENTY of reasons to come here and seek comfort and fine actual TRUTH in the "news" of the day...

Want to really know what it will be like? Take EVERYTHING - EVERYTHING - the repukes have said over the last eight years and simply REVERSE the meaning and intent of it.

Support the President in Time of War? Forget it.
Criticism ends at the waters edge? Yeah right.
Respect the Office of the Presidet? Hardly.

State any fucking platitude of the right wing crasy ass bat shit insane repukes for the last eight years and simply reverse it...

9. Oh, no, I remember it...
All too well. But the crap they flung at Clinton made me want to ignore politics, for some reason. I really zoned out those eight years, took care of my family and career, and didn't feel the incredible, insatiable need for truthfinding that I felt the day after B* was nominated.

We'll see, I guess!
