Hank Jr's "McCain Palin Tradition" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f-YuyTXZs58) is truly horrid, but it's not as bad as some of the other atrocities that have hit the streets since Bush was inaugurated...such as:

"Press One for English" by Rivoli Revue
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sEJfS1v-fU0

"America We Stand As One" by Dennis Madalone
http://www.americawestandasone.com
(the parody "America Fuck Yeah We Stand As One" is AWESOME!!! and it's at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R1cSngpUiow)

"Have You Forgotten?" by Darrell Worley
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m_-x9kMPauc

and the all-time champeen...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BFmMGYv3mag
yup, Crisco Johnny's "Let The Eagle Soar"!

So...what's the champion of hideousness?

8. Yes, that may be the worst RW song of all time

On edit...while it's a terrible song, at least they can play. Which is more than I can say about, oh...Ron Rivoli.

6. Yeah, the guy who complained that
..."this war isn't working out for me". Gutless fucking chickenhawk, does he think it's worked out for the soldiers or the Iraqis?

Toby Keith is a strong argument for retroactive abortions.

4. I'm gonna go with the hack hick Worley
I'd say he's a legitimate country singer like Steve Martin was a legitimate faith healer in the movie "Leap of Faith". Except Steve Martin's preacher was merely a greedy fraud. Not a Bush Crime Family psyops tool.

5. Worse than that "Day of Reckoning" crap that Hannity kept playing?
that just made my head explode at how bad it was.

12. That's not a RW song.
Edited on Tue Oct-14-08 09:49 PM by HereKittyKitty
It's not even about patriotism. It's about domestic abuse. I'm not a country fan, but as an abuse survivor, I appreciate the song. I hate how Hannity hijacked it.

Independence Day (Martina McBride)

Well she seemed all right by dawn's early light
Though she looked a little worried and weak
She tried to pretend he wasn't drinkin' again
But daddy left the proof on her cheek
and I was only eight years old that summer
And I always seemed to be in the way
So I took myself down to the fair in town
On Independence Day

Well word gets around in a small, small town
They said he was a dangerous man
Mama was proud and she stood her ground
she knew she was on the losin' end
Some folks whispered some folks talked
but everybody looked the other way
when time ran out there was no one about
On Independence Day

CHORUS:
Let Freedom ring, let the white dove sing
Let the whole world know that today is a
Day of reckoning
Let the weak be strong, let the right be wrong
Roll the stone away, let the guilty pay, it's
Independence Day

Well she lit up the sky that fourth of July
By the time that the firemen come
They just put out the flames,
and took down some names
And sent me to the county home
Now I ain’t sayin' it's right or it's wrong
but maybe it's the only way
Talk about your revolution
It's Independence Day

Repeat Chorus

Roll the stone away
It's Independence Day

10. "Iraq and i roll" jingoistic nonsensical hooey. wait to you see the lyrics.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xZbvVkDE9wU

IRAQ AND ROLL

You can wave your signs and protest
against America taking a stand,
the stands America's taking
are the reason that you can.
If everyone would go for peace
there'd be no need for war.
But we can't ignore the devil,
he'll keep coming back for more.

Some see this in black and white,
others only gray.
We're not begging for a fight,
no matter what they say.
We have the resolution
that should put 'em all to shame.
It's a different kind of deadline
when I'm called in the game.

Iraq, I rack 'em up and I roll,
I'm back and I'm a hi-tech GI Joe.
I pray for peace, prepare for war
and I never will forget ~
there's no price too high for freedom
so be careful where you tread.
This terror isn't man to man,
they can be no more than cowards.
If they won't show us their weapons
we might have to show them ours.

Now it might be a smart bomb,
they find stupid people too.
If you stand with the likes of Saddam,
well, one might just find you.
Iraq, I rack 'em up and I roll,
I'm back and I'm a hi-tech GI Joe.
I got infrared, I got GPS,
I got that good old-fashioned lead.
No price too high for freedom,
so be careful where you tread.
Now you can come along
or you can stay behind

or you can get out of the way.
But our troops take out the garbage
for the good old USA.
Iraq, I rack 'em up and I roll.
for the USA.
