Edited on Tue Oct-14-08 09:26 PM by on the EDGE
and AIP, I wanna talk about it all the time. It should be ALL over the news ALL the time. I don't think I am wrong for thinking this. Let's put it everywhere All the time and demand answers. I still would like to know where the old mans bones are because according to him They Are Not buried in Alaska. Where aret they and how doe's Sarah feel about that seeing she praised the AIP?? I want answers?

1. This should be shown as often as Rev. Wright was.
Don't know what you mean by "the old man's bones" though.

2. On the other hand, the "unqualified freak-show candidate" meme . . .
Edited on Tue Oct-14-08 09:15 PM by MrModerate
in its very broad strokes, is working quite well for us, so why restrict it to just one channel of freakiness?

We've got the emotional conduit going (as in, "that woman gives me the creeps"), which is much more effective than any explicit discussion of a basically meaningless, penny-ante cult.

Let's not turn off the fire hose in exchange for a watering can.

5. Palin is regarded as an unqualified, freakish naif . . .
Edited on Wed Oct-15-08 12:44 AM by MrModerate
There are many subthemes to this assessment: AIP, Troopergate, witchcraft blessing, generalized wingnutery, per diem abuse, the gubernatorial tanning bed, wolf slaughter, pregnant daughter/shotgun wedding, lavish office redecoration, Wasila indebtedness, amateurishness, intense vindictiveness, etc., etc.

There's SO much wrong with this woman that focusing on the AIP would be like taking one halibut from a netful and throwing the rest away. I think it's much more powerful to let undecideds try to digest the whole ugly mess, because the likely outcome is the decision: "I can't possibly vote for a ticket with this woman on it."

Alternatively, if we obsess over the AIP, we risk wearing it out, and thereby devaluing the profound unfitness that the whole Sarah Palin package presents.
