Prayer, the last refuge of McCain/Palin supporters?
I think even the diehard, last gasp, completely deluded fools at FR are finally getting the picture, McCain has been a disaster. In this spirit, it seems as though they're turning to their final answer when in despair, prayer.

Yes indeed, they are having a Debate Prayer-a-thon, 'cause Lord knows, McCain's record is abysmal, his grasp of economics is dicey at best(as even he's admitted), and the shininess has worn off his Caribou Barbie. So here we are, at the last refuge of the scoundrel, prayer.

After all, what does McCain really have left?

1. Next, they'll probably turn to trying to cast magic spells to win the election
I wouldn't be surprised at all if they did that.

4. Oh, shit, this stuff is just too funny!
Almighty G-d, may your spirits and angels of victory and guidance and protection be with John McCain during the debate. May they be to his left, and to his right, and in front, and behind, and above and below...and may they grant him protection from the Evil Ones and those that serve their purposes.

The Evil Ones are his supporters...maybe he needs protection from them because they want to hang his pasty ass for falling behind in the polls.

May they grant him guidance, dear Lord, and give him voice, and guide him in what to say, what not to say, what to do and not do, how to act and how not to act.

Why bother God, when this is a job for McCain's debate coach?

Please G-d, guide him and grant him victory, that our Republic may be preserved. Amen.

As if there'll be a Republic left if this motherfucker continues Bush's policies....

This is from another hilarious "prayer":
Awaken them that the same hands lifted up to You in prayer Are the hands that pull the lever in the voting booth; That the same eyes that read Your Word Are the eyes that read the names on the ballot, And that they do not cease to be Christians When they enter the voting booth.

The hands and eyes of the majority will be voting for Obama, a-hole. And quite a few of them will be Christians. So suck on that!

And to the truth that human rights begin when Human Lives Begin, And not one moment later.

If that were the case, a fetus could be written off as a dependent. Try pushing that BS off on an IRS agent, and see how far you get.

I’m most likely to do most of my praying between midnight and 0800 in the morning in 3-5 minute chunks.

Chunks of prayer?

OMG, this is so hilarious, I'm nearly pissing myself!

7. Maybe as an aside, they can ask God to whisper into Bush's ear
to bomb Iran in these last few weeks of his reign. Go for a twofer and get McCain's war started for him.

I am not making fun of the power of prayer, just that these yokels think McPain is the answer to whatever they are praying for.
