My sleeping 9 year old just muttered "Michelle, Obama's wife...
...and his two kids."

While snoozing.

I don't know what to make of it...!

Is he thinking about the election? the administration he wants to hit his teen years with?

10. yep - my 7 year old knows who they all are
and she loves Obama because his daughter looks just like her good friend and desk mate. I love that her friend is going to see someone who looks just like her hanging out in the white house :)

15. In 1992 my son was 11
and man, he could do a mean imitation of Ross Perot's "And that's just sad!" Remember that? It was hilarious.

Today he is a high school teacher in South-Central LA. He stayed late at school tonite with some of his kids to watch the debate. They were bored stiff and hated it! Oh well, he tried. Maybe a little seed got planted somewhere. Anyway, I am proud.

16. I was the same age during the '92 campaign
and I think it really excited many people. I have great memories watching election returns with my parents (both '92 and '96). We both weren't sure how MI would go that year because I kept hearing mostly RW talking points in my suburb. None of our politics were completely shaped then. My parents definitely liked Clinton, and I found him exciting as well. Plus my dad was hurting during the last Bush recession. My band teacher, who was a republican idiot "warned" us that we would face a much more difficult future with Clinton in office, that the economy would tank, mouthing off a bunch of RW talking points the day after election day.

I hope at least one kid in your son's class got inspired, even slightly.

17. Hey, that's weird
Night before last I had a mixed up dream before waking. At one stage I walked into a room and Barack Obama was there, white shirt, sleeves rolled up. Seemed most natural thing in the world.

oh, and I'm in Melbourne, Aust. Maybe time to stop obsessing about USA politics :)

and that mommy and daddy are going to vote for him. Says daughter, "We want Barack Obama to be the president."
