Is "talk me down" the new troll mantra? ......
..... I swear I've seen that more in the last two weeks than I have since I joined in 2004.

3. Really, instead of worrying about that why not go out and volunteer for Obama?
If I never heard the *roll word again it would be great.

4. probably it's a reflection of Rachel Maddow's segment called "Talk me Down"
Perhaps a troll thought using it would allow good concealment?

5. If you watch Rachel Maddow
On MSNBC at 9PM weekdays, you will see that it is a "feature" of her show. She states a problem with something, than a guest tries to talk her down. Therefore, it is not a troll mantra, but that doesn't stop some trolls from using it.

8. Rachel Maddow said it a couple of weeks ago.
And like the words "meme" and "schadenfreude" before it, it has become a staple of certain DUers. I find it annoying but when some people latch onto a new word or phrase, they use it until everyone else is completely burned out on hearing it.

New Kids in the Hall did a skit based on that. An obviously unintelligent guy was called into the office at work for using the word "Ascertain" in every sentence. It was hilarious because we all know someone who does that. :)

9. Yes! The more polls show a big win, the more faux concern gets expressed.

11. It's a measure of how important this election is.
A little empathy is called for to mitigate the knee-jerk suspicion. It can be fun to dismiss a poster as nothing but a troll, but it doesn't do a thing to shore up the morale of someone who may be worried for good reasons.
