2. The flyer starts out with a lie....
by referencing the liberal media. There is no such thing. Patrick Buchanan coined the phrase in the 1970s and the pugs have been running with it since. The Democrats and the media have cowered since then as well.

We need to stop saying the corporate media but rather the right wing media. Conservative for some reason still has not been made an odious word (although I find it so) but people are afraid of right wing because it conjures up images of Nazis.

18. The word "media", like "data", is what's known as a "collective singular"
Treating a plural as a singular is a very old transformation in English, and perfectly legit. It recognizes the fact that the singular form is nearly superfluous.
