25. I don't usually mention this a lot because we have a lot of anti-paranormal folk on DU

I have been doing ghost investigations for many years (although I don't do it much now). I've even written a textbook on it. lol I knew the TAPS guys when they were just regular folk. They were extremely well-respected in the research community even before they hit TV.

I'm very impressed...and jealous. lol

My husband and I would like to do investigations, but I know I'd be wearing the "Dude, run!" hat before the night was half over. Sucks, but I'm as afraid of that type of phenomena as Steve is of spiders. (My sister and I shared a paranormal experience in our early 20s -- the memory can still keep me awake at night with fear, and it was only an audible phenomenon!)

The anti-paranormal folks here seem to be those who either haven't experienced it or think it's tied into religion. :shrug:

Please PM me info on your textbook, we'd love to purchase/read it if it's available.

Jason (from taps)is only a plumber by day. by night he 'investigates' the paranormal. Somehow I'd be really surprised if he didn't have enough cash from the sci-fi channel to buy his own plumbing business by now.

I think palin's reverend should hire him to look for them witches though.


Those guys are too funny, hopefully perople don't think all us Ro' dilanders are like TAPS.

11. off topic: I always figured the things those guys deal with at their day job are much creepier
and more frightening than anything paranormal they ever run into. Myself, I would have no problem spending the night in a haunted house, but no way in hell am I prepared to deal with other people's massively clogged drains and backed up septic systems. :scared:
