We're on vacation in France for a couple of weeks and we're seeing a lot of Obama in the press and on TV. CNN Europe seems to be pretty solidly pro-Obama.

We WILL be back before election day.

Bon soir,

Big Anth

3. We're having the time of our lives here and I'm not worried one bit about the money.
We don't live extravagantly and watch our money, so now that we're taking this trip after years of planning we're not pinching pennies. Part of this is financed by the sale of my car. I'm now driving a motor scooter. And actually, the dollar is making a comeback vs. the Euro.

Au revoir,

Big Anth

4. I just got back from Italy and wish I could've gone to Paris instead. I love it so much more.
Enjoy it a little more for me.

6. Really? I'd go to Italy over France.
Both are spectacular and breathtaking, but Italy has my heart a little bit more.

10. I thought the people were rude in a way I've never experienced in France. I also felt that
Italy was far more dirty and the graffiti is awful. Maybe it's different in the countryside. I dunno, I've only been to Rome, Florence, La Spezia and the Cinque Terre area, and Pisa. Perhaps the south and east are different...

Don't get me wrong. I did enjoy it and met a lot of wonderful people, but my heart is in Paris' Latin quarter...

7. Yes, it was in English.

I wish that I could have gotten a picture of it but it was there and gone in a flash. It was a standard sized bumper sticker attached to a basket on the front of the bicycle.

9. Strong Obama support in Budapest
I was there last month. On tour groups I was with other tourists from all over the world--Aussies, Brits, Italians, French, Spanish. All of them said good things about Obama (and nothing good about Bush). I met one American couple who described themselves as moderate Repubs. But they were hopping mad about the economy and planned to vote for Obama.

I live/work in Egypt. The Egyptians are fascinated (and somewhat tickled) that we have guy named "Hussein" running for President. But unlike the dumber Repubs, not even they think for a second that he's a Muslim. (Egypt is 95% Muslim.)
