Poll question: Are McCain/Palin "sacrificial lambs?"
Edited on Sun Oct-19-08 01:09 AM by El Pinko
Are they serious candidates that the GOP intends to win with, or are they being set up to lose because the next few years are going to be so economically disastrous that no president presiding could possibly be perceived as "successful" when they are through?

2. If they were truly "sacrificial lambs" then why would various Republican groups be trying to
block ACORN's registrations, cage voters, suppress votes, and steal the election with flaky machines that switch Obama votes to McCain?

Wouldn't they just stop all that and "let" Obama win?

3. The various groups represent the clods that always vote GOP
- of course they will go through the motions. The mindless masses would be suspicious if they didn't.

But I'm talking about the money people who really run the party and scoff at the slack-jawed idiots that vote against their own interests year after year...

4. Hey, it's a tough year for Repugs, & Obama's strong -- McCain's about the best they've got
McCain is about the most famous Republican who can run a significantly independent of the Bush Administration. Which other candidate for the GOP would have been stronger?

6. The Repiglickins are Planning to Steal The Election Again
The first wave of this effort is the Great Voter Purge of 2008, in all the swing states.
The orchestrated attacks on ACORN in the media provide them all the cover they need for this.
Now we see how the voting machinez in West Virginia are switching votes right in front of us.
The resulting discrepancy between the vote and the polls will be blamed on the "Bradley Effect".

Looks like they'll have to steal an awful lot of votes. Obama is pretty far ahead.
Can the MSM cover up a theft so large?

7. Honestly
I think it's a little of both.

McSlimebag and Moose Knuckle both WANT to win. I think Members of the McSuckFace's Campaign WANT to win,

BUT

The Chimperor and the Snarling Oil Minion of Satan both would LOVE to grind McGreaseball into the sand, the least of which over the stink McSuckup caused over the Torture issue.

Knowing that their looting of the Treasury would eventually sink the economy AND there needed to be a way to blame it on the Dems.

Prior to the 2004 Election, they secured McTrollboy's endorsement by promising him he'd be the Next President, and promised to do everything in their power to insure it.

Look at all the Bushies involved in this campaign.

Face it, if McWorthless and Failin Lose, Big Time, they get everything they want. Revenge on McStain (which Dumbya wants) and they can blame all the Economic Failures THEY CAUSED on President Obama and the Dems. Then in 2012, they can pull another 2000, with Palin, another willing Puppet/Sellout as their Standard Bearer.

Check Mate

PS This is why I'm of the firm belief, once this Election is Over our task is 2 fold. One, we have to do all we can to make certain the Rethuglicans can't pull another "White Water/Monica/Etc" style lynching of President Obama. And Two, we need to do everything we can to make absolutely certain that Mooselini is completely politically crippled BEFORE 2012.

10. Other.
Internal polling showed them long ago that they could not win the white house.

McCain was given the nod as the nominee to make up for his shitty treatment in 2000. He has no political future and they didn't want to waste Romney in a year when they couldn't win.

The selection of Palin is similar. McCain gets in the history books for choosing the first woman on a GOP ticket and no real woman candidate has to sacrifice her future by getting the stink of loser about her.

They need Obama to fix the economy, fix the crisis in Iraq, and get the deficit down. Their policies don't work and they know it, but they can't abandon them. They have to bring them back in 8 years so they can start the looting all over again.
