5. Powell is doing it because it makes him look good
He milked it for all that it was worth, let people speculate and keep himself the focus of a little bit of attention and went with the obvious popular choice, one that was evident months ago. Colin likes being popular, this is a popular choice and he did all he could to milk it until the last minute when long past the time Obama took firm control of the race.

He has broken ranks.

He has gone off the reservation.

He no longer toes the line.

He is a traitor.

He was never truly a "real" American.

He should be investigated.

And he is Black.
