1. The media is too busy debating whether McCain will bring
Rev. Wright back. That seems to be the burning question at this time. :eyes:

2. "these are the kind of folks who support McCain...who do YOU support???"
Right there, the floor would come out from under his campaign.

Shame works wonders

3. The media seems to spend more time being critical of Left-leaning radicals.
See Ayers, Wright, etc.

The far-right fundy & racist GOP base never gets mentioned much.

4. The media cannot say anything bad about McCain without saying "both sides do it"
Both sides are disrespectful to the other side, but McCain magnifies the hate a hundred times over. That fact isn't mentioned of course.

11. Exactly.
Even sources as mainstream as USA Today point out that McCain objectively runs far worse ads, tells more lies, etc. than Obama, it's still this BOTH sides do it equivalency that is ridiculous.

During the debate, Scheiffer came at them with 'Obama, you say this, and McCain you say this...'. It made it seem like the batshit insane stuff was somehow justified. And then, in the greatest moment of absurdity, McCain appeared offended. He said he couldn't believe some of the things that are uttered at Obama rallies.

Obama's got way more restraint than I do, I would have gone off on him at that point.

5. The media

STILL wants their horse race, despite the poll numbers and other indicators that it won't even be close.

6. The media are scared of them
They are afraid of the death threats, envelopes full of white powder anonymous letters they will receive if they even hint at telling the truth about these goons. Pundits have to go out nd live in the world too. The problem with the current crop is that they have traded in their spines for financial security.
