White racists will soon go through a difficult period of adjustment, poor things.

It won't be easy for the white racists at first, they'll be very, very short tempered immediately following the election of the first president of the 21st century, and they'll be downright cranky for the first few days or so, then after falling into a deep depression at seeing their worst nightmares become true, they'll settle into their old comfortable ways and proceed as they have been.

I suggest using the 'dog whisperer' tactics that work so well with unruly dogs, give them a good tug on their leash to let them know who is dominant now, and reward them for good behavior with biscuits and beer. Once they realize that they don't have to wear burqas or memorize the Koran, or give up their bibles and guns and beer, they'll eventually calm down to their natural chronically grumpy state that is so instinctively ingrained in them.

We must try to be patient with them, afterall their little worlds are crumbling and their greatest fears are now realized, but our patience must not be eternal or unconditional, and if they can't play nice with others then more stern measures will be required.

1. Chicago is a VERY segregated city with lots of racism. The first black mayor, Harold Washington
had a very hard time at first, but eventually gained lots of respect from many of the crazy racists by working across the aisle and not giving up on his principles. Some in the African American community said Harold was "too fair" by not hiring more African Americans in his administration. He was beloved by most of Chicago and it was a sad day when he had a heart attack and died in office. I think Obama learned a lot from Harold and I wish Harold could have seen what is happening now in our nation.

3. Tencnically....
...George Bush was the first President of the 21st century, being sworn in 20 days into it.

However, if you mean 21st century MINDSET, then that's accurate.

5. Honestly, I question the motives of those who pick at racial scabs on the eve of the inaugration
of the first African-American President in history. :hi:
