6. bullshit.
for one thing- the message was in spanish, and the cop that stopped him probably didn't even know what it was saying- for all he knew, it could have been an anti-obama message.

in illinois, those types of signs in cars are illegal no matter what they say.

3. Or more likely 'Man ticketed for electronic message sign on his car'.
Which sounds eminently reasonable.

4. Agree. Something like that with a scrolling message takes driver's attention
off the road. A static message is fine, but a scolling message is not a good thing on the road.

Some even have multiple panels for different ads on each side. :eyes:

12. Big difference between those and what this guy had
In my state, you can't have flashing lights on your vehicle unless you have emergency plates or on an official government vehicle. Especially frowned upon are Red & Blue lights or white strobes - we've had several disturbing incidents of people impersonating police and pulling women over at night, several have been raped.

Im glad the guy was enthusiastic about Obama, but this is a clear violation of the law and quite frankly, I'm glad they enforce it.

given a warning for equipment violation.
