A few years ago he had IMO a really week television presence. He's brilliant, to be sure, but he came across as soft-spoken and mousy, even when he was (as usual) 100% right and the nay-sayers were (as usual) 100% wrong. So he'd appear on this or that show and appear to get trounced, only because he wasn't as seasoned in front of the camera as those hack GOP actors who play the role of "informed commentator."

But recently he has become a much more commanding figure on the screen, as befits his knowledge and wisdom. It's a shame that such a superficial impression could appear to discredit the experience of a man who clearly knows what he's talking about, but that's how the echo-chamber likes to run things.


And, of course, no sooner had his Nobel Prize been announced than the Nobel Committee itself was roundly denounced as a hopelessly Leftwing spin-factory. :eyes:
