A day in the life of Joe the Plumber
an oldie but a goodie

http://home.comcast.net/~theyellowdog/joerepublican.htm

Joe gets up at 6 a.m. and fills his coffeepot with water to prepare his morning coffee. The water is clean and good because some tree-hugging liberal fought for minimum water-quality standards. With his first swallow of water, he takes his daily medication. His medications are safe to take because some stupid commie liberal fought to ensure their safety and that they work as advertised.

All but $10 of his medications are paid for by his employer's medical plan because some liberal union workers fought their employers for paid medical insurance - now Joe gets it too.

He prepares his morning breakfast, bacon and eggs. Joe's bacon is safe to eat because some girly-man liberal fought for laws to regulate the meat packing industry.

In the morning shower, Joe reaches for his shampoo. His bottle is properly labeled with each ingredient and its amount in the total contents because some crybaby liberal fought for his right to know what he was putting on his body and how much it contained.

and on and on ............

1. Is it the same for Jane the plumber? She probably gets paid less and actually has a license!

3. It's Josephine the Plumber
Josephine the Plumber was a character in a series of early sixties television ads featuring former child actress Jane Withers.

5. Yeah...except if you are one of Joes employees.
I bet if Joe did have his own business he wouldn't give his workers a living wage, or provide them with health care, or vacation time, or sick pay. Hell he would probably fire their asses if they called in sick. Vacation? Yeah...take the next 6 months off unpaid... I was gonna lay you off anyway. There's your fucking vacation.

So that begs the question of why should he be able to get his own business in the first place?

Joe ain't so average...and he reminds me of a lot of people I don't like very much.
