And Moose Lady Sarah's too.

But he didn't and it would have backfired if he had. It would have been like a young healthy guy beating up on an elderly guy.

Obama just laughed all the attacks off.

And it appears to have worked.

I couldn't have done what Obama did. Even if I knew in my heart that I shouldn't I still would have lit the old geezer up. And I would have lived to regret it.

That is why Obama is presidential material and I am not.

1. We're going to have to wait for his memoirs...
to hear all the stuff he really wants to say.

2. You agree though don't you? He wanted to give it to him didn't he?

But he had enough self confidence not to.

3. Certainly.
I wonder what he's really got to say about the primaries.

4. Obama understands the concept of delayed gratification.
A brief moment of satisfying pleasure from eviscerating a pathetic old fool in front of an audience of millions or a laugh and a smile from the high road on the way to the White House? Obama was too smart to take the bait.

I too would have unloaded on the old bitter bastard...maybe even called him that. Likewise, I am not presidential material but am very pleased Mr. Obama is.

5. I agree...I'd have bit and gone postal on McCain.
Of course, the implicit assumption then would have been, "I'm guilty, but so are you". I'm sure McCain would have loved for the debate to devolve around the subject of 'who can pile more dirt on the other candidate'...he's an expert in this area.

6. Did you all notice?
He kept the moderator letting him go and not interupting his banter. Even if it was overtime. Just seriously ingenious the way he knew McCain was hurting himself with his rants. You can see Obama's hush gestures during the old fart's rambling..

8. Keeping the high ground has worked well
It's the Economy!
It's the Economy!
It's the Economy!

Obama's position that McCain wants to talk about ANYTHING but the Economy. That hits him harder than any past associations. If Obama starts talking about Keating or Troopergate, that distracts from the one thing that is going to give Democrats not just the Whitehouse, but a solid - maybe filibuster-proof majortity in Congress. The more McCain grasps at straws like Ayers, the more obvious it is going to be to voters that he is not interested in their problems.
