Help Secure Close Congressional Races
While the nation's eyes are on the presidential race, Congressional races are in significant danger of manipulation affecting the outcomes. Thousands upon thousands of voters are being disenfranchised through voter purges and other targeted efforts, especially in communities of color, college communities, and poor and working class communities. Electronic voting systems and vote tabulation systems can be easily rigged or hacked. Even in races that are not close, but especially in close races, we must be vigilant.

We need to make sure that no candidate concedes before all valid votes are counted. The thousands of provisional ballots that will be cast by people knocked off of the voting rolls will not be counted election night.

We also need to make sure that challenges will be mounted where elections are suspicious. Sometimes voters can mount these challenges. Sometimes that's cost prohibitive or otherwise not doable.

We must prepare candidates to take action!

Standing For Voters is calling on candidates to take this election integrity pledge:
I, _________________, pledge to use my candidacy, whenever feasible, to advance the preservation of democracy. I will officially challenge the results of the election as provided by law if the combination of election conditions, incident reports, and announced election results calls into question the reliability of the official vote count. Should another candidate be declared the winner in my race, I will wait until all valid votes are counted and all serious challenges resolved before conceding defeat.

There is also a stronger "Super Pledge" that candidates can take.

If you're a candidate, please take the pledge at StandingForVoters.org
ANY candidate for ANY office in ANY state can pledge!

If you're a voter, please call candidates' campaign headquarters and ask how you can get a request to your candidates to take the Standing For Voters pledge.
Details on how to do this here.

Candidates ask voters to stand for them. Now it's time for voters to call on candidates to commit to Standing For Voters!
