A Pittsburgh police commander says a volunteer for the McCain campaign who reported being robbed and attacked near a bank ATM in Bloomfield has confessed to making up the story. Police say charges will be filed. More details to follow ...

I hope she's buried under the jail for this. Black men have a hard enough time in America as it is without false accusations and just outright lies being told about them.

... The police have not revealed all of the details of what is on the ATM video, but they told KDKA that Ashley Todd did not make an ATM transaction there as she had claimed. Today, Todd states that she was attacked from behind as she got out of her car by a man who jumped on her and was beating her. Todd now says she does not remember either having money taken from her or having her face cut. According to the report, Todd today says that she fell unconscious during the attack and discovered her money missing after regaining consciousness. She said she did not know her face was carved until she felt a stinging sensation when someone was photographing her after she had left the scene and gone to a friend's house ...
