1. Little bit
Sort of a "live action" blogging site where people can mostly do short updates. Ties in with a lot of bluetooth devices so you can update on the fly.

2. The whole twitter/facebook/myspace thing
baffles me. I don't understand why people post every detail about everything they do all day, and post some pretty personal shit too... a little too much information.

3. I use FaceBook
It's been great for re-connecting with people from my high school days and even further back. One of the strangest was a guy named Greg I knew back in 4th and 5th grade. He used to hang out with me and two of my other childhood buddies until his family moved away the summer after 5th grade.

He tracked me down on FaceBook. Now he's a published author (sci-fi/fantasy) and has sent me autographed copies of his book. Pretty cool stuff.

I keep my FaceBook open throughout the day at work just to keep up with the Joneses more than anything else.

You're right though, there are people who give out way too much personal information. I noticed recently my sister had both her home and work phone numbers posted. That's just not a smart thing to have floating around out there for public consumption.

4. It's not a bad idea if you have a biz or political campaign, etc. FWIW here's Obama on Twitter...
