2. I thought she would make it too.
Poor girl. I knew it had to be bad when they thought she was stabbed but it ending up being from blunt force trauma.

4. Has her murderer been caught yet?
Any suspects?

The killer should be hung in the town square.

7. Yesterday her dad said she was improving. Link to story with details, including...
...the fact that "nearly every bone in her face was broken."

11. Oh God that's awful.
I agree with the former FBI agent, I think it was a stalker. Seems like way too much brutality for a robbery.

13. I agree with him, too. It is way out of proportion for a simple robbery.

9. Oh, how awful! My condolences to her family and friends...
Does anyone else remember, "Jodi Huisentruit, a television news anchor for KIMT, based in Mason City, Iowa. She disappeared in the early morning hours of June 27, 1995 while on her way to work and is believed to have been abducted. She was 27 years old at the time."

Anne Pressly, Jodi Huisentruit. I have to wonder if there is something about local anchorwomen, maybe some familiarity, that makes them vulnerable to stalkers or crazies.

12. I remember it well. I used to work at a TV station and saw some stalking...
But it was a male anchor being stalked by a guy with some serious mental issues. I remember his mug shot being in the studio for people to watch for him and call the police if he showed up. I also had concern for the female anchor who worked nights. She would go out alone to the very dark parking lot in a not-so-great area like clockwork every week night.

I knew an anchor (female) at another station who had someone mailing her some very strange stuff. She kept a file of the letters and the sender's picture was posted there.

18. This is so sad
So many people thought she would recover. I hope they catch this monster.

I saw a news report some years ago that said local TV newspeople are subject to stalkers more than TV stars. They say it's because of the familiarity these sick have with them because they see more often. They also said because they are local they feel closer to them.
