If it were anyone else but bush, I don't think I'd find it suspect.

6. Syria's entirely too cagy to play along.
It takes two to start a war, and nothing they want -- a final settlement with Israel of the Golan issue, a 'firm guiding hand' over Lebanon, an eastern border that's not a Wild West zone of smugglers, terrorists, and refugees -- will they get closer to under a McCain administration.

They're not going to get drawn this easy.
