"Big Mac attack!" roars fired-up, confused candidate
On a brisk fall day in Pennsylvania, before a crowd of several hundred supporters, Republican Presidential candidate John McCain made a bold prediction. "My friends, on November 4th, Senator Obama will face a Big Mac attack the likes of which he's never known - and I am that attack! My friends, the Big Mac is back, for a limited time only!"

The feisty underdog's passion spread to his mostly elderly fans, who cheered weakly and waved their arms at nearly every applause line or attack gambit. The Big Mac catchphrase, obviously held in reserve for just such a point in the campaign, found the greatest response, and so the elderly candidate ran with it.

"My friends, a Big Mac is a funny thing. A lot of layers there - a lot of surprises. It contains ingredients you never suspected were there, maybe didn't want to know were there. That's me all over, and my friends, let me say once again that the Big Mac has returned. I'm back!"

9. A few lessons here.
1. You never look cool when you try to introduce your own new "cool" nickname.

2. Don't chose a metaphor for yourself that gives people digestive problems.

3. If you are running for office, don't pick a nickname that represents empty calories, no nutritional value.

12. There are only two possibilities:
(1) Senile dementia/insane bravado.

(2) He knows that the fix is already in with a major reTHUG dirty trick.

I'll never forget how the bottom dropped out of my stomach in 2000, when a camera caught george as he walked away, tossing back over his shoulder, "I'm gonna be prezdint" with a big smirking grin.

McCain's braggadocio gives me a similar sick feeling.

14. Who's writing this stuff?
I mean, I think it was yesterday - or the day before- that he laid it on thick about Joe the Tax Evading Alleged Plumber - including that Dear Joe is "an American hero" and "my role model".

And now he's comparing himself to a Big Mac?!

And he makes no sense! "ingredients...maybe didn't want to know were there"? Well, actually, that may be true since it has about 40 grams of fat and 1,200 calories.

(Good line about the "special sauce" too!)

Anyway, I'm sure Obama is huddled somewhere with his advisors, trying to figure out how to face this Big Mac attack, "the likes of which he's never known".

While I'm thrilled with the "limited time" admission. It can't be over soon enough.

33. Wow! That's astonishing!
Palin in the Mickey D clownsuit is an especially nice touch! And I'm not sure if McCain is about to tuck into those burgers, or if he just barfed them up as some sort of attempt at dialogue with his good buddies, the working class.

Good work!

Same thing here. McCain's campaign jumped the shark a while ago, but this is just pathetic.
