Help me out here. I live in San Diego and work just west of MCAS Miramar, so we get dozens of military aircraft every day.

5. Yes, it is. Sometimes they warn us of drills. I wonder if the airspace was violated or something.
I can still hear them.

As someone who lived in Va. Beach, I know the sound.

14. Those flight paths are very limited and there are rarely fighter jets.
I have friends that work at Bolling and another lives in the Andrews flight path.

IIRC they scrambled out of Norfolk on 9/11 and were here within 10 minutes.

12. Hmm....I haven't heard any
and I've heard plenty of F16's in my day...I was just up on the roof of our building working on the network, so I'd have heard any aircraft. Maybe they stuck over the east side close to Truax?

13. I was wondering if anyone heard about an air space violation. That's what it usually is.
Fighters don't go over the area without a reason.

32. Haven't heard anything here on the local news
Not sure if they'd report it but you know how they like a good terror story, especially the local Fox affiliate. They see a shoebox left unattended and they go insane.

I wouldn't be shocked if they had CAP flying over all major cities tonight to prevent any sort of incident though.

19. I read somewhere that they were having an exercise today
I kept thinking they should get the word out about this, but of course they didn't.

Here is a notice, it was supposed to start on Monday and be 1 day, but it wouldn't surprise me if they extended it.
