What time do you think the cable news channels knew an Obama landslide was coming yesterday?
Edited on Wed Nov-05-08 07:34 PM by NNN0LHI
I took a nap yesterday afternoon for a couple of hours and when I woke up about ten after four CST and flipped on the TV I found Patrick J. Buchanan on my TV waxing poetically about CHANGE and HOPE, and I rubbed the sleep out my eyes in amazement and said to my self, "Self, this is going to be an early night."

And it was.

They knew Virginia was a given, but also knew they could drag that one out because of how the returns would come in.

They also knew Ohio was a given. Those two state clearly, Obama wins.

They also knew it would be about 11:00 when the race would be called.

closed, announced Obama the winner! - 8:00 pm Pacific Time

They knew it much earlier I'm sure but they had the decency to wait until the west coast finished voting...

I see NOTHING wrong with that!

Do you?

19. My understanding is that the exit poll results are kept from
the media consortium members until 5.30 or something like that, and they are voluntarily constrained from reporting the preliminary results until the polls close for any given state. They did start reporting non-result analysis from the exit poll data starting around 6-6.30. That was when they told us that, duh, the economy was the #1 issue by 7x anything else. If they had that data then the vote results were also available.

14. When Did They Know, or When Did They Admit To It?
Big difference. It was obvious after Sarah Palin first opened her mouth that McCain was going down with all hands on board.

21. It most certainly was an electoral college landslide
"Thus, a landslide victory can be either over 55.5% of the popular vote or over 60% of the electoral vote."
wiki http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Landslide_victory#Electoral_votes

Yes we did.
