CAFE standards 2001...Remember that? The auto industry lobbied and got what they wanted.

They were so happy having screwed the US environment and population. And now they want money to help with the royal screwup their managers caused in their industry????? They did not produce the right type of car, and pushed the population to love their big behemoths that gobble gasoline like there is no tomorrow.

1. We had the WH and both houses for a while during Clinton's

first term, and still no progress on CAFE standards.

Let's work for better this time around.
