After watching the Mika/Pat/O'Donnel clip - serious question to those who watch that show
Why? Why do many of you subject yourselves to such ignorance and frustration? I don't have anything but basic cable, so only read about the stuff here....but ignorance such as that deserves no audience - even understanding that one needs to know the enemy.

Mika - clueless.

Pat - Very, very sick.

1. What gets to me the most, and makes me never to watch Mika again
(well, that never means on purpose and for long)
is her lack of self confidence makes her not listen! She does not react to what the guest says, she comes back out of left field with thoughts she came up with while the guest was talking designed to make her look either smart or in charge.

I think she is hopeless, and should be fired. I really do.

3. I agree - Mika is terrible! I watched tonight's show because of
Lawrence O'Donnell. He's usually great. Very calm and intelligent!

Mika is too concerned about her looks. And she's been on a defend Sarah Palin tear for a long time now. I stopped watching Morning Joe more because of her than Joe Scarborough.

2. Don't have cable/sat. But here's what I find interesting,
People bitched and moaned at Scarborough's 9:00 pm show he used to have, and celebrated when it was removed. So what do they do? Follow him to the new morning time slot and bitch and moan over the same crap.

5. Mika is essentially a PUMA for palin
Edited on Sat Nov-08-08 12:34 AM by Magic Rat
her irrational devotion to Palin can only be explained by female-female empowerment and, probably, Mika seeing something of herself in Palin - maybe a lack of intelectualism.

6. I am really starting to think that there is truly no good reason to watch MSNBC
I don't get MSNBC in the country I live in, so everything I watch/hear about comes from DU.

The network seems to be absolutely riddled with idiots, ideologues, and some of the laziest people in the news industry. And yet, not a damn day goes by without 16 threads on what someone on MSNBC said/did. I have NO idea what the big deal is about Rachel Maddow, Keith Olbermann is interesting but obnoxious, and I find both he and Rachel extraordinarily unprofessional.

After there was a thread a few weeks ago with some DU'ers celebrating that a DU'er called MSNBC to complain about the content within their scroll and that MSNBC actually CHANGED THE SCROLL based on that phone call, I lost 90% of any interest I had in the network which wasn't much to begin with.
