Reagan was first elected to the Presidency in 1980, that is almost 30 years ago, even if you were 18 at the time, you would be in 40's by now. Plus are there enough Reagan Democrats enough left to make that much of a difference in an election anymore. Think of how many new voters there have been since 1980, certainly a large number of these voters have to be liberal to moderate democrats. There must have been enough new voter since 1980 to counterbalance any Reagan Democrats. My personal feeling about Reagan Democrats are they voted Republican in 1980 and 1984 because they liked Reagan personal, and that they have either since drifted back to the Democratic party since then, or they no longer consider themselves Democrats, they will tell you that they are Republicans. I just believe the media got so found of the sound of Reagan Democrats, they became a demographic whether they exist or not.

And a ton of their neighbors and friends --all registered democrats.

They voted for Carter, Reagan x2, Bush #1, Clinton x2, Gore, Kerry(some Bush cuz of the War), and now Obama.

This is the same problem the republicans seem to have, and I thought the democratic party had left behind. They just assume they are the majority and that most folks thinks just like them, and then they heap on ridicule everyone who doesn't.

You might be young enough to think they are all dead, but they'll be voting for at least another 20-40 years.

Yes many became Republicans, but a whole shitload are still democrats or are independents. And yeah, because he won, and sorry to burst your bubble, he didn't do it on the kiddie vote alone-- A whole chunk of those midwest states he won are chock full of Reagan dems aged 40-80.

Jews for Jesus is a CHRISTIAN organization that focuses on converting Jews to Christianity, most non wing nuts find them abhorrent.

Ohh and J'sforJ are messianic Jews, but NOT all messianic Jews are affiliated with J'sforJ-- it is the evangelical and deceptive proselytizing that has been protested and is at issue, not the tenets of their faith.

Either they're woefully misinformed about what that criminal (Iran-Contra, anyone?) actually stood for, or they support it.
