Supply and Demand my ass
Gas is now officially below the $2 mark here in Atlanta.

It is now pretty close to the price it was at the beginning of Bush's pResidency.

It has returned to near reasonable prices now that we are close to the end of Chimpy's deranged reign.

I don't care what others say about supply and demand.

The oil companies, under George W. Bush, was given every opportunity to rob and gouge us.

That's all I can see.

1. Don't worry, it'll go back up next spring
as the oil companies re calculate their formulas for a higher percentage of spot market oil.

I doubt it'll go back up to four bucks a gallon, though.

3. It's so obvious, everyone (even Republicans) will recognize that we were screwed.

6. It's part of Exxon and the others economic stimulus package...
think about it, now you can fill your car for around 30 instead of 60. If you go through a tank of gas a week getting to work... then you just got a 120 dollar a month "increase". Beats the hell out of GW's 600 dollar/yr thingy.

7. They've absolutely been keeping the price artificially high during the Bush years.
And they have been consciously reducing the price since the GOP convention, to take away oil and gas regulation or taxing as a campaign issue.
