A friend of mine responded today to a greeting I had sent him. He works in a very large chain Dept store in CA. (Larger than Circuit City) I'm changing a few things to keep the company unnamed, and preserve his privacy ================== Quote:
"Well, I have complained a lot to you about XXXX, and we're down to 3 people in my whole dept now. Biz has dropped way down in the past months -but check this out; Sat, Sun and yesterday were NUTZ! We borrowed some ppl to help out - had 4 of us in the pit all at the same time Saturday for most of the day and could not keep up with the demand for XXXX. Sunday was almost as crazy and Monday only slacked off a little. Today was normal/busy, and Tuesdays have been DOA for months. What changed? Aha... Obama was elected. I think even though the economy hasn't actually picked up - peoples' spirits have. They're spending money again." ==================================
The reason I post this is to illustrate people are normalizing and seeing a future, this seems to be born out by some polls and surveys, and that includes those who did not vote for Sen. Obama.
Though we are still in for many rough spots, and dropping shoes, the Obama sun is rising and peeking through.
