Is it not madness?
Has everyone in any leadership role lost their minds? Yes, we live in critical economic times. Yes, we need serious solutions, and in a timely fashion. But I sit and watch the news every day, and all I see are more and more pigs lining up to the trough for their piece of what I think is going to be an unending supply of tax dollars. Should there be a bailout of some sort? Yes. But anything that the government offers should ABSOLUTELY be tied to regulations. STRICT regulations.

But we haven't seen any meaningful talk of regulation of ANY kind. Instead, we, the people footing the bill for this colossal white collar thievery, are told these things:

A) If we throw enough money at the problem, then the problem will go away.

There's only one problem with that line of thought. Many expert economists will argue that massive infusions of money into the economy will trigger inflation.

B) We are told that, once companies like AIG, GE and General Motors get bailed out, that we should then once again have confidence in these companies, and Wall Street in general, even though the same crooks, for the most part, who destroyed these companies are still at the helm, and still operating in the same atmosphere of a lack of regulation as before. Why, oh why should we have faith in a company that continually ships jobs overseas and across our borders, without demanding job guarantees in return, or higher emission standards, or cars that are more in line with what the people want? And GE? One of the worlds largest conglomerates, lining up with all the other pigs?

Bailout? Reviewed on a case per case basis, and with regulation. Otherwise, when will the madness end?
