'Surge' in hijacked PC networks
'Surge' in hijacked PC networks

The number of computers hijacked by malicious hackers to send out spam and viruses has grown almost 30% in the last year, according to a survey.

More than six million computers world wide are now part of a "bot network", reported security firm Symantec.

Computer users typically do not know that their PC has been hijacked.

1. I think it's great that they just invented the word "Surge"
I mean it is such a useful word to describe a rise or increase in something - and if it weren't for our insane President and his plan to shove more troops in the meatgrinder we might never have learned this great word.

2. Number of people with computers
who haven't a clue as to proper security has risen exponentially. I've had people bring in their computers which were loaded with trojans and viruses who thought the antispyware given them by their ISP would block everything. Needless to say, it didn't.

3. All part of the master plan....
They'll keep this up for a couple of years, and then eveybody will be "happy" when they take over the internets.

:tinfoilhat: I'm getting paranoid in my old age, ain't I?

p.s. This actually doesn't seem all that far-fetched to me.
