If so, the workers need to know about his leading the charge against any aid to the Big 3.

1. Actually I think it's pretty much cornfield territory.
Cleveland and Youngstown...mebbe Toledo too and part of Akron have stakes in this.

2. Not much other than parts stores and auto dealers
his territory surrounds Dayton ohio though, which has significant auto manufacturing base, and many of his constituents live in his area, but work in dayton.

3. How will the taxpayers like paying for all the unemployment insurance
and other forms of government assistance they'll need to pony up if the Big Three are allowed to crash.

Even if the auto bailout doesn't ultimately save these companies and the Big Three eventually shrink and disappear, a soft landing is better than a crash, especially now. What are they asking for? $25 billion? 2.5 months worth of what we have been doing for Iraq for the last 5+ years to save Michigan from a total catastrophe? That's not worth it?

4. I see Middletown that's where

AK Steel's main plant is located.

on edit: I don't think you will find a lot of sympathy among the rank and file steelworkers for the auto industry. In my opinion if the auto companies go under that doesn't mean they will stop making cars. When the Steel industry was on the ropes the auto industry paid lobbyists to prevent us from getting any assistance. We lost 100s of thousands of jobs, pensions, health insurance but we still make steel.

5. There are auto suppliers and assembly plants all over Ohio.
From companies that make the plastic, injection molded knobs and vents for car interiors to companies that make glass, steel, rubber components.

There's not going to be a county in Ohio that doesn't have a lot of people working either directly or indirectly for the auto industry, even if the company itself is located in an adjacent county.

There were 6 GM plants in Dayton (Montgomery County), though some have been spun off. Many of their suppliers are located in Montgomery County or the adjacent counties.

I think Boehner should ride his position all the way to the next election. Maybe then they'll vote him out.

6. Here's a link to a map of all GM facilities worldwide.
I don't see anything specific for his district, but GM has multiple plants in Ohio:

7. Perhaps not, but...
Undoubtedly, Ohio has parts manufacturers who are in great peril.
