Edited on Sat Nov-15-08 10:50 PM by Sarah Ibarruri
If so, does anyone have a link to them? I'd like to see them. These ended up convincing people with a not-so-great education to vote against gay marriage, so I'd really like to see what ads they paid for.

3. just imagine how many homeless people would be fed with that 28 million
or how many homes could have been saved from foreclosure?

or how many poor kids could have been put through 4 years of college?

or how many musical instruments could have been bought for schools with weak music programs?

or how many poor kids could be put in daycare, while parents worked?

or how many warm clothes could have been given to the homeless?

Instead, the Mormon Church funded HATE with that money.

20. In the New Fundamental Revised American Bible, Jesus changes his instructions slightly.
"Verily, I say unto you, unless you scorn gays and say hideous things about them, you shall not see the Kingdom of Heaven. And forget all that stuff I said about feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, visiting the sick and those in prison, and all that liberal hippie stuff. I really meant 'buy a Hummer and buy some stocks.'"

15. How can people who belong to that church..and contribute 10% of their income. put up with that crap?
If I donated to a church and found out that they spent $28,000,000 on a referendum in just one state, for something that was not related to my church...and not related to helping the poor or the unfortunate...I would be real real pissed.

16. Apparently there are quite a few people leaving that church because of it....
This issue has become a publicity nightmare for them. They tried to use it to get evangelicals to accept them to get votes for their Romney's 2012 run for the White House, but Mormons never expected this would explode in their faces. It needs to be made bigger.

19. Did this ad ever air?
I laughed hysterically...but it was the best one I've seen on the NO side.

Funny how these were made by Courage Campaign instead of the No on 8 people.. .

24. Okay I just thought of something - tell me what you think....
I saw the ads the bible-banging @$$holes ran, and I now have seen the civil rights folks ran. The ones run by the bible-bangers were serious. The ones run by the civil rights folks were funny as hell and very cleverly done, but they're too far fetched to bring one's mind to the reality of what losing this could mean. Do you think anyone took the funny civil rights ads seriously? I don't.

27. now one can understand why the people of illinois
ran the mormons out of illinois in the 1800`s. they decided to set up their own little country in illinois.the whole persecution of the mormons is a joke.

the gay rights movement in california underestimated the ability of the mormon church to crush their detractors.the next time they will be ready to take on the church
