500 Months! Bush pleads for patience in Iraq war (will take months)

WASHINGTON - With Democrats pushing for an end to the Iraq war now entering its fifth year, President Bush pleaded for more patience Monday, saying success is possible but "will take months, not days or weeks."

I opposed this war because I knew that a pro west, unified, stable, democratic Iraq was at least 4 decades away, AND that it would take A LOT OF HARD WORK to get to mission accomplished.

With all due respect, if you think we can claim "mission accomplished" in a couple months, or by 2009 :eyes: , you are part of the problem. We need to admit defeat and withdraw. Anything less is uncivilized.
