I have to take back what I said earlier in the campaigns about how it really didn't matter who got elected, they'd take our money and votes then not manage to get much of anything done for our community like so many in the past.

Putting it out there, front and center - on his official transition pages - before he's even been sworn in. No parsing, no hemming and hawing while waiting for some staffer to quickly get a poll result before answering one way or the other. Change indeed! A leader who actually has the courage to speak up about what he thinks is right.

:fistbump:

I still think he's wrong on the whole marriage/civil union thing, but I'm still happy to support our President-elect while trying to get him to see our side of it.

1. The Kennedys took a while to come around on racial issues.
Something dramatic may change Obama's views on this issue. Hang in there. Keep on him. You helped get him elected, so you're entitled to some support of your own. He may yet come around.

2. Well see. He may actually turn out to be all talk. I know it is a grim possibility
But it can certainly happen.

3. That's great!
They must have taken heed of the email I sent them(I am sure I was not alone). When the website first went up, there was no mention of LGBT rights in the agenda. The civil rights page was lacking in that regard. I e-mailed them and said, "Please put LGBT rights in the civil rights agenda".

They listened, very good. :fistbump:
