I am not a soldier, but I can only imagine what it is like to see one of your buddies blown in half. I can only imagine, being given orders to shoot first, and ask questions later, and the when you follow those orders, the very people who gave you those orders hang you out to dry.

I can only imagine, the pressure of having served four and five tours and seeing some of the things they see. I cannot stand the way the right-wing tries and tear down people like John Murtha and John Kerry. These are the people who can speak from experience. These are the people who have been in the front lines.

I do not condone the actions those soldiers took. But, I have to ask myself this questions: What would I do, if I were in that situation?

2. I'm with you on this...
Here's why "supporting the troops" is such malarkey. The program is this...train these kids (the younger the better) to do whatever you say, kill without remorse, without thinking, without questioning. Judge them by how well they can suppress all feelings. Send them back in, drugged up if necessary. If the press sees something that seems a little like a war, blame the kid for not being able to handle the stress, try him for murder, acquit him, because he was just doing as he was trained, then do it again, and again and again. Meanwhile, call them all Heros, thank them for great service to their country, march them around, wave the flag, remind them of their grandfather's generation with a few good movies and they'll keep lining up, joining the ranks, hoping they'll be judged as men so they can then stand on the sidelines next time to cheer on the next group of brainwashed kids on the way to war.
