Killed in Iraq on Saturday
I learned today that the twin brother of my company's receptionist was one of the soldiers killed in Iraq on Saturday. Although I didn't know him, I know her. She is just about the loveliest young person you could ever hope to know. A recent graduate of Humboldt State University who majored in English literature, she is sweet, sweet, sweet, kind, a little on the shy side, and very sensitive. She and her family are said to be heartbroken.

Mostly, this administration has made me feel intense anger but they've made me cry a few times: the day of the Supreme Court decision, the day we invaded Iraq, the day Bush "won" in 2004, and again today. When are the Democrats in Congress going to put impeachment "on the table"? Why do we have to continue to endure the crimes, corruption, and death he brings to us every day?

1. That's terrible.
Her twin, too.

6. Her twin
Yes, I think the fact that he was her twin will make it much harder for her. She loved him and he was always there. Always.

3. Right now I'm pretty damn disgusted with the dems. They need to
get off their hemorrhoid asses and stop this war. But hell no, they're to worried about collecting money for their next election than to do their damn job!

4. Please let her know I sympathize with her loss
Losing a family member is hard...I recently lost my mother and I cannot imagine losing a sibling, much less a twin.

5. Thank you
Yes, I will let her know. Her life will never be the same again.

One of my uncles died in World War II. He was a hero, but that's another story. My grandmother mourned him 'til her dying day, and my mother, who was in high school when he died, keeps a little shrine in his memory to this day.

My sympathy on the death of your mother. The death of a parent is always very hard.
