Bill Clinton would be dynamic as a Senator....why not I say? He is young in Senate year standards, and it gives him responsibility.

What say you DU?

1. Can we please get away from family-based representation?
I cannot believe you are saying that no one else in New York state politics can be as or more effective than a Clinton. Let's give someone else a chance, maybe someone who has lived here for more than a mere decade, to represent my home state, OK?

2. it's not a terribly good idea, but it's better than the suggestions
to appoint him. never gonna happen, so why waste time thinking about it?

3. Jeez.
Give us a break. I'm sure he'd do it if he's interested, but I fail to understand why everyone needs to be so concerned with the careers of the Clinton family.

5. I think he would be amazing in the US Senate.
We may loose Teddy Kennedy in the next year or so; a strong leader like Bill Clinton would be an asset and an equal replacement for our Party.

16. Give RFK Jr a crack at the senate seat first.
Then and only then should Bill consider running for the spot.

19. I do believe that is a reasonable approach.
RFK Jr. could also choose the Environmental Seat too. Very prepared he is.......

He likes the spotlight too much.

11. I think that New York had plenty of good Democrats before the Clintons decided to move here
And if they decide to leave we'll still have plenty of good Democrats. We do not need to keep feeding at the Clinton trough to find people to fill our positions thank you very much.

All that said the answer is no.

Regards

12. I would like to see Governor Paterson appoint President Clinton to that NY Senate seat
For a start the Right-Wing loons heads would totally explode at the thought of President Clinton fully back in national politics, coupled with Senator Hillary Clinton as Secretary of State.

Also I think he'd make a great Senator, just like Senator Hillary Clinton has been a great Senator.

17. WTF?
Are you people under the impression that there are no qualified Democrats in the state of New York whose name isn't Clinton?

It's not like we were a big old red state before they showed up? Sheesh! Can you give the rest of the state some credit instead of immediately moving to a newbie?

Regards
