Shame on this fucking administration....if you disagree with mr. bush you hand the enemy a victory.

These so-called leaders of the free world have no concept of democracy whatsoever.

~snip~ WASHINGTON (AP) -- A war spending bill up for consideration by the full House this week would "provide victory for the enemy," White House press secretary Tony Snow told reporters this morning.

1. It seems to be a kind of 'logic' sweeping the nation.
Ideological Manichaeism - obvious even here.

Disgusting.

4. This is a diminishing democracy. Once great, now extremely marginal.
A president totally unresponsive to anyone who disagrees with him. A dictatorship, I believe it's called. My way or the fucking highway.

12. On CNN this morning, an Army Col. who was over there..
And for some reason still supports Dub made a remark to the effect that we've got to keep fighting the "terrorists" so that "they don't take over Iraq, and gas prices go up as a result".

So THAT'S why we're fighting there, to keep gas prices low? :wtf:

Well, Cheney beat him to that one, as I recall, in a campaign stop last year. I think it was for Conrad Burns in Montana--who, fittingly, lost to Jon Tester. We haven't kept gas prices low thusfar; why would an escalation help us do that now?

It's been four years now; if they ever had a good reason to give for our invading Iraq, you'd think they would have found it by now. Ah, but like all of those WMDs, it never materialized!:eyes:

B-)

9. Well, WE'RE with the TROOPS!

And to us...

You're either with THEM, or with the pResident!

Dub & Co. know they've lost the hearts and minds; now they're just fighting to keep the money---and the oil.

My wife noted today how Dub is now walking in a slumped-over manner, whereas before he walked with pidgeon chest puffed out. His Iraq debacle, plus all the scandals either directly or peripherally related to it, are weighing on him. But I really don't think even he realized how much he screwed everything up until the elections last year. And then he threw the ISC recommendations in the trash to give himself one more shot at redemption, a la LBJ--by escalating the war.

Even if he never paid attention to history the first time, it doesn't give him an excuse to mess it up a SECOND time!:grr:
