I need someone to fill me in on the Moveon.org thing
I get a letter from Democrats.com saying Moveon supported a bill funding the war? Last night we had our vigil with Moveon.org in Manassas, VA - they came out to join us Prince William Peacemakers. Then I read this morning about this?

What's anybody's take here? I've been so busy doing stuff for the anniversary I haven't had time to catch up.

2. They would nto give members
the option to support the Progressive Caucus plan, only the Pelosi plan. It seems they are grabbing their ankles for the Democratic leadership.

3. Haven't been out to MoveOn for a while...
But have people been proposing any support for the Progressive Caucus bill?

Could it be that they didn't put it out as an option because it hadn't hit their radar yet?

I mean if we had real news about this stuff we could accuse them of actually knowing about it but...

Could it be an honest blunder?

4. WELL NEARLY 1OO
reps support it. TrueMajority allowed a vote in a poll on it and the majority of their members backed it...so it is out there..it seems MoveOn is just trying to hide it.

8. That's good. It's just MoveOn seems less like a "hide it" place as a GI/GO place.
I'm just saying that the format of MoveOn allows Garbage In / Garbage Out because if not enough people post about something, it doesn't get the attention.

Unless there is an additional source of information or an intent to ignore information, it could have been missed vs misled.

MoveOn it seems to me tries to do the Democratic thing.

If we had real media coverage, then I could see a clear justification for saying they are trying to hide it.

I myself just found out about this other bill and I try to keep up.

Having to do all the digging & verifying yourself makes it hard to have a real handle on everything out there. Especially since the *ushit has been flying fast & furious for so long.

We are fighting against this rogue state on so many fronts, it's exhausting. I just wonder how many of the fronts we fight on are with each other instead of the real enemy?

5. Huge disconnnect between members and leadership.
Moveon is showing signs of not giving a rat's ass what we actually think.
The email I got basically gave me a choice between supporting more war or supporting more war.

7. MoveOn has always been a top down "grassroots" organization.
Amy just reported that they support the funding bill.

I stopped donating to them when I realized I don't need Joan or Wes or Eli to make my mind up for me.

6. They want to know if we support the war or if we support the war
I got the impression the DLC had invaded the leadership ranks of moveon.
